World Day Against Human Trafficking

On World Anti-Trafficking Day, a small party was held to appreciate the program participants and acknowledge their struggles and experiences. The event celebrated their resilience and aimed to instill hope that they will overcome their trauma and be able to return to their families. The activities included a video presentation depicting human trafficking scenarios, followed by empowering discussions and a quiz on workers’ rights. The participants enthusiastically shared their thoughts and opinions, drawing from their personal experiences. They also took part in a fun activity by imprinting their thumbprints on a poster to symbolize their support for the global anti-trafficking campaign.

As with any party, food played an integral part. The participants were treated to banana cake, roti jala (a popular snack eaten with curry), and pizza, which was a welcome change from their daily menu.
