In the past 18 months, much has changed in the world. As the pandemic hit, schools were closed and education moved to online platforms. Even so, some 2.2 billion people below age 25 do not have internet access in their homes. [Source : unicef.org]
From those who do, priority is more likely to be given to boys for access to devices and internet. There is a gender digital divide, which must be addressed. It more than just connectivity. Girls are less likely than boys to use and own their devices, especially in low and middle-income countries.
